
Jennifer Krafchek
PhD, Gifted Education
Dr Jennifer Krafchek, PhD, is an educator and professional speaker, who provides professional development in schools on the link between academic success and eating disorders.
She completed her doctorate in gifted education at Monash University, Victoria, Australia, where her thesis investigated the experiences of academically high-achieving females before the onset of disordered eating. Dr Krafchek has worked in schools as a teacher of VCE Psychology and as a coordinator of middle-school gifted programs. She was a Teaching Associate in the Faculty of Education at Monash University, lecturing on Gifted Education, and is currently the treasurer of the Association for Gifted and Talented Education Victoria (AGATEVic).
She has published several papers on eating disorders in peer reviewed journals and spoken on the topic at conferences internationally (USA, Canada and Denmark).
